That’s not just some empty, throw-away line. We both know it’s true. It’s what got you into entrepreneurship in the first place.
You’ve got the vision, the drive, and the why. They push you to show up and do the work every single day. And you’ve got dedication in spades.
What you may not quite have? Writing chops.
You want website copy that oozes you-ness.
Ebooks and info products that carry your best ideas out into the world with your stamp all over them.
Gut-level confidence that every word you write for your people is clear and enlightening and full of personality.
But working with words isn’t your main gig.
Oh, you’re competent enough. Maybe even proficient. You can handle blog posts and emails. The little daily stuff isn’t so bad.
Organizing an ebook, on the other hand? Distilling your business into site copy that sings? Shaping a guest post that’ll represent your brand to a whole new audience? Well…that’s another story.
Not even “proficient” will cut the mustard when it comes to your bigger projects. Especially when you’re facing expectations as inspiringly (dauntingly?) high as yours. After all, living out this mission you’re on is going to take a heck of a lot of writing.
What’s a business owner to do?
I’ll let you in on a not-so-secret secret: It’s not an either/or thing.
You don’t have to choose between clarity and personality.
Your options aren’t “hire a copywriter” or “compromise on quality.”
You can work alongside a creative ally. Someone who’ll give you guidance without taking over. Someone who’ll distill your message without destroying your voice. Someone who’ll reflect what you’re trying to say back to you and then help you refine it until the words are just right.
You can have your very favorite kind of cake — and eat it, too. (My favorite is carrot, by the way.)
And believe it or not, there’s a good chance you’ll have a little fun and learn a thing or two (or ten) in the process.
Too good to be true? Oh no. I assure you, it’s not.
Let me introduce myself: I’m Erin. I’m an editor and idea architect.
I’m a foundation builder and connector of dots. I synthesize information, distill essences, find threads. I build wings for your ideas and coax brilliance from your words. I translate your knowledge and ideas into website copy and digital products that reach the people who need them.
All while helping you write in a way that sounds like you and makes you proud.
My kind of editing isn’t about “fixing.”
Your copy isn’t broken. Your ebook isn’t beyond repair. Your big, bold project isn’t hopeless, or DOA, or out of your league.
Let’s go for verbs like building, refining, expanding, streamlining. Ahh, much better. Can you feel the difference?
Our work together is about crafting a website or digital product that feels totally aligned with you — in message, in voice, in feel, and in purpose. It’s about shaping and honing your creation into its best, most authentic self, from idea to finished form.
You know how a haphazard pile of iron filings snaps into alignment in the presence of a magnet? Your project is the filings. Our work is — you guessed it — the magnet.
Whatever your project, we’ll make it shine.
I’ll help you wrangle your ebook from hot mess to force-to-be-reckoned-with.
I’ll help you figure out why your website isn’t lining up with the work you do — then fix it.
I’ll help you assemble a digital product out of blog posts and a webinar transcript.
(I don’t write things from scratch, though. Because the words sound better, more genuine, more unique, when they come from you. Trust me on this one.)
I do what I do because the world needs your brilliance. I really and truly believe that.
I do it because you deserve to have digital products that make your heart swell with pride and website copy you can’t wait to show the world.
I do it because nothing should stand between you and the people who need your wisdom — least of all writing.
I do it because you — yes, you — deserve to have a voice you’re proud of.
And, selfishly, I do it because helping my fellow care-driven, uncompromising small business owners get their light out into the world brings me more joy than words can hold. Nothing makes my heart sing like hearing our work has made a difference.
There’s more to me than all this.
Just like you, though I love my work deeply, I’m more than my business. And if we’re going to be spending some time together, you might like to know a bit about me.
I’m an INFJ and a wannabe pioneer. I’m an Ohio transplant to the California coast. I am fascinated by communication of all kinds and in love with crafting beautiful, useful physical objects (handmade quilts, knitted scarves, nourishing food). I am allergic to inauthenticity and a bibliophile to my core. I met my husband swing dancing.
And when I’m alone in my house, I sing showtunes. To my cat. (Who, while adorable, is generally less than appreciative.)
What do you think? Is it worth staying in contact?
Every once in a while, I send out a friendly email, and when I do, I’d love knowing it’s nestled in your inbox.
But more than that, I want you to have the gift I made for solo business owners just like you: Out of Your Head and onto the Page, my guide to gathering the pieces of your first draft. Whether you listen to the audio version or read the PDF, the guide will help you take those first crucial steps toward turning your next big writing-based idea (and all the ones that follow) into reality.

I hope I’ll see lots of you!
